“This is a social experiment, and the military is not a little liberal social experiment pet project.”
Actually, you need to study a little military history. Racial integration (under Truman) was a social experiment and people like you said almost identical things about why that would be bad. Letting women serve was a social experiment. History shows that our military is better for both of those “experiments.”
If you think DADT is so good, why don’t you live by the same rules? If your husband wants to serve, then he has to pretend you don’t exist, you can’t be seen together. You get no benefits no matter how long your relationship’s been around……I don’t think you’d think it’s very fair, would you?
Finally, are American soldiers inferior to our allies? Why has this been a non-issue for the Canadians, the Brits, the Israelis? We just can’t man up as well as them?

“Remember the Peacekeepers” – I am the daughter of one of the peacekeepers. In my attempt to do just that I have located Nomades. They are a collection of charms created for the special group of women whose lives are connected through the military. I have contacted them about launching a memorial charm for those who came in peace. I need 25 interested ladies to make the charm a reality.
